KWA Construction Completes University of North Texas' Luxury Student Housing

33 Degrees North lush five-story complex brings UNT students first-class amenities like an infinity pool, tanning rooms and café.

KWA Construction just completed construction this month on 33 Degrees North (33° North) – a new five-story, 139-unit luxury student housing project, located on Eagle Drive near the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, Texas. 33° North brings the rising trend of luxury student housing to North Texas, with its one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans. Each unit includes a private bathroom per bedroom, queen-sized pillow-top beds, granite countertops, clean-steel appliances, and 50-inch flat screen televisions. 33° North also includes a luxury community space outfitted with a fireplace, café, fitness center, infinity pool, outdoor deck and tanning rooms. The 152,638 square-foot property is adjoined to a five-and-a-half-story parking garage.

“I wish they had student housing as robust as 33° North back when I was in college,” said KWA Construction President Keller Webster. “As a frequent builder of Texas-area student housing construction, KWA is always excited to be a part of bringing something unique like 33° North, not only to a university campus, but also to the construction industry. We are grateful that Fountain Residential Partners selected KWA for construction.”

Crosswind Development Partners and Fountain Residential Partners retained Dallas-based Architecture Demarest, L. P. and KWA Construction to bring 33° North to life.

“Fountain Residential Partners is very pleased with The 33° North community,” said Fountain Residential Partners President Brent Little. “Located directly across the street from the University of North Texas campus, the design has created an urban and sophisticated presence with a living experience unlike anything else in the Denton marketplace. The response from the students has been fantastic to the unmatched level of amenities and creature comforts.”

33° North adds 427 beds to UNT’s available student housing.
